Possible Bicycle Shop in the Jordan Neighborhood

We are looking for families and individuals willing to participate in a focus group to study possible community bike shop in North Minneapolis. The group will meet once on Thursday April 8th at 6:30pm at PCYC (2210 Oliver Avenue North, next to the Capri Theater). This study is funded by the Pohlad Family Foundation and conducted by Linda Tacke, 952-932-9662 www.Leadershiptactics.com .

The bicycle shop is envisioned as a social entrepreneurship that builds a business base over the next 3-4 years that is almost self funding. It will be a reliable, welcoming and reasonably priced bike shop selling bikes new and used; biking accessories that have a "cool factor" and provides outstanding mechanical services.

Additionally, it is a place which youth and families choose to make as their own. We see it as a hub in the community for bike classes, bike touring, bike art, and contests. Additionally, we see it as a retail outlet for healthy food/snacks such as smoothies, sports drinks, protein bars, coffee and sandwiches. Please let Linda or myself know if you can participate. Additional information can also be found at http://adventuresofjohnnynorthside.blogspot.com/2010/04/who-wants-bike-shop-in-nomi-i-do-i-do.html
